You're probably a level 1 entrepreneur.

A lot happened this week.

  • Anthropic got into a little bit of trouble with the Pentagon over a $200 million contract.

  • Jack Dorsey fired 4,000 people with a single tweet.

  • Perplexity launched a tool that orchestrates 19 AI models from one prompt.

And if you're like most people, you saw these headlines, felt something (anxiety, excitement, FOMO) and then went right back to work.

Nothing really changed.

That was me for a long time. I was building every day. 60 minutes of reading. Hosting Spaces. Writing newsletters. Shipping content. But I was climbing the wrong mountain. Doing the right things in the wrong direction.

Now I'm finally building the right thing, and the difference is night and day.

On Saturday's Space, we covered quite a bit:

First: when you pick a tool, you're also picking a company's philosophy.

If your tool gets pulled tomorrow, restricted, or changes its rules, your entire workflow could break. What you built for months, could be lost overnight.

The takeaway: don't depend on the tool. Depend on a system.

If you have a system (ideally a second brain), you can migrate it to any AI tomorrow.

P.s. my second brain is built on Notion.

Second: Jack Dorsey laid off 4,000 people with a single tweet.

The exact profile: 28 to 45, employed, experienced, smart. They have deep domain expertise. They have networks. They have skills companies paid for. What they don't have is a system to turn that into something of their own.

That's the gap. That's what forced entrepreneurship looks like.

Third: the Creator's Pyramid.

And this is most important.

There are 4 levels most people build are not aware about.

Level 1 is Results: followers, revenue, clients. The stuff everyone chases.

Level 2 is Behavior: your daily habits, the grind.

Level 3 is Emotions: the fear, the doubt, the reason you're not sending that DM.

Level 4 is Spirit: your identity. The thing that won't let you quit.

if your daily “hustle” is fueled by fear, scarcity, or people-pleasing, you will burn out.

That fuel corrodes you even as it produces results.

You need to figure out which level you're operating from right now.

And there's something I called unteachable lessons: the things nobody can teach you.

You know you should charge more. You know you have the expertise. You can talk about it for hours. But you haven't felt/experienced it yet.

The most dangerous version for creators: "I need to build followers before I can sell anything."

Every person I've watched build audience first eventually realized that 10,000 followers and zero clients is worse than 40 followers and one paying client.

I built an interactive walkthrough of the Creator's Pyramid — click through all four levels here: https://vb-ai.netlify.app/pyramid.html

Tomorrow I'm going live again. Think & Build w/AI — Episode 5. We're going deeper on the pyramid, covering world AI updates, and there's an undisclosed topic I'm not revealing until we're live.

See you there.
